Private Label – Guide to private label candles and diffusers

Do you want to have your private label candles and/or diffusers but don’t know where to start? We can help you!

We have been making candles for over 200 years for 7 generations. We are frequently asked to produce private label candles and diffusers, and we always do so with pleasure, bringing our added value, which is our experience.
Frequently, however, our customers are missing details that are essential to design a product that perfectly meets all their requirements.

In fact, 3 aspects come into play: commercial, economic, and technical. It is important to have them clear from the very beginning.

Here are some examples of questions you should know how to answer:

1) Business aspects. Which audience do you want to reach? Define your target audience well in every aspect: is it an end consumer? Male or female? Luxury target or bottom price?

2) Economic aspects. How much are you willing to spend? What will the final price of the product be?

3) Technical aspects. Which kind of wax would you like to use? Which materials would you like us to use for containers and packaging?

The questions to be answered in order to define your private label product idea are many and not at all trivial.
Knowing how to give a clear answer to these (and many other) questions is fundamental to being able to define what your product IDEA is. Once it is well defined, 3 constraints will need to be set in order to best implement it.

But let’s go step by step.

If you, too, would like to purchase private label candles and diffusers follow these steps.

1. Define your product IDEA

As anticipated, it is essential to be clear about your product idea and that this is communicated to us as clearly as possible from the beginning. To do this, try answering these questions:

– Are you interested in producing a candle, a diffuser, or both?

– Which audience do you want to reach? Define clearly your target audience (gender, age, spending level, purchase occasion)

– What will be the final price of the product? Price too defines the identity of the product we will make. Are we targeting a luxury or mass market?

– What style are you thinking about?

– Do you already have a design artwork for your product?

– Do you need packaging?

– Do you need us to produce everything, or do you already have containers to fill / printed labels / scents to use / or other components already available to use?

The answer to these questions will clearly define your product idea for private label.

2. Defining Constraints.

There are constraints to product realization that define our room for action. It is important to give a clear answer to these three points so that we can provide you with the solution that meets your product idea, but respecting the constraints you place on us.

– TIMEFRAME

How soon do you want the products delivered?
Time cannot be bought and certain activities can be compressed only to a certain point or otherwise the risk of mistakes and defects becomes too high.
The most important deadline is the product delivery date, but design and testing time, component procurement time, time to produce the candles, and finally the availability of production space that might be occupied in other processes are to be considered.

– VOLUME

We can produce 1 piece or 1 million pieces. But from one situation to another everything changes. For some items we can make a few pieces but not large volumes because that would be practically impossible. For others the opposite is true. Too long and complex to tell you here which items are in the first or second group. Much simpler is to tell us what you are thinking about.
Customers often have large volumes in mind but prefer to start with smaller numbers; this is a very good strategy: conscientious and forward-looking. The fact remains that from the beginning you need to share with us the volumes you imagine, either those for the first delivery or the maximum you can dream up.

– BUDGET

Every market is different, and quality and price expectations are also different. The cost of our candles ranges from a few cents to several tens of euros. Similar products can have very different prices depending on details, but it’s the details that can make all the difference to the consumer.
Anyway, it is you and only you who evaluates cost range is compatible with your project. Knowing this from the beginning allows us to choose the correct path right from the start.

3. Request for Quote

The more questions you are able to answer, the more accurate our proposal for a product made exclusively for you and that will probably meet all your needs will be.
