Graziani è un’azienda storica sul territorio locale e nazionale, con una tradizione che ha avuto inizio più di duecento anni fa: è nata infatti nel 1805 e si è tramandata di padre in figlio per sette generazioni. La storia di questa azienda è ricca ed interessante, ed è il simbolo di come la tradizione e la passione abbiano permesso a Graziani di continuare ad offrire i propri prodotti di qualità per così tanti anni. L’azienda può vantare una grande esperienza e professionalità nel proprio settore, dove si è fatta spazio negli anni aumentando la propria produzione ed ampliando il panorama dei prodotti. Negli ultimi anni, in particolare, l’azienda si è concentrata su produzioni specialistiche a valore aggiunto più elevato destinate in particolar modo ai mercati esteri.
In azienda si utilizzano diverse tecnologie per la produzione delle candele: colaggio, riempimento, estrusione, pressione. Queste ultime due tecnologie devono essere alimentate da materia prima in polvere o gocce e non liquida come le altre tecnologie. Ad oggi l’azienda si approvvigiona di cera liquida (o solida che poi liquefa) per le altre tecnologie produttive e di cera già trasformata in gocce/polvere per la estrusione e la pressione. Obbiettivo del progetto è rendere l’azienda indipendente nella produzione di polvere/gocce: per far questo il progetto prevede l’acquisto e la messa in opera di un macchinario per la produzione di polvere e gocce. Tale macchina necessita di alcuni impianti specifici e di una “stanza” coibentata e quasi-ermetica dove avviene la produzione di polvere/gocce. L’impianto previsto può produrre polvere e gocce: i due prodotti, seppur simili, sono utilizzati in macchine diverse per la produzione di candele; la polvere per la pressa (usata in azienda per la produzione di sfere di grande diametro) e le gocce per l’estrusore che è dedicato alla produzione di candele da chiesa.

The company’s history is rich and fascinating, and stands as the symbol of how tradition and passion have enabled Graziani to continue offering its quality products over the span of so many years. The company boasts vast experience and professionality in its sector, where it has expanded throughout the years, increasing its production and widening the variety of products offered. Particularly in the last few years, the company has focused its attention towards a specialized production that offers a higher added value and that is aimed for the foreign market.
At Graziani’s, candle production is carried out through the use of different technologies: casting, filling, extruding, and pressing. The latter two technologies require the use of raw material in the form of powder or drops and not in liquid form as in other technologies. Currently, the company purchases liquid wax (or solid, later liquified in house) for casting and filling technologies, and wax already trasnformed into powder and drops for extruding and pressing technologies. This project’s goal is to enable the company to become independent in relation to the transformation of wax into powder and drops: to reach this goal, the project calls for the purchase and installation of a machine for the production of powder and drops. In order to function, this type of machine requires the presence of specific supporting installations and of an insulated and virtually airtight “room” where the production of powder and drops takes place. The described structure (room, installations, and machine) transforms wax into powder and drops: the two products, although similar, are used in different machines for the production of candles; powder is used in the press for the production of large-diameter ball-shaped candles, while drops are used in the extruder for the production of candles for the church.
The financial support received for the project “POLVERE E GOCCE” from the European Union amounts to 120.000 euro.
